Prices for Asian caprolactam were $10/mt less than the week ending Nov. 14, at $1,500/mt, CFR Fareast Asia. This was due to weaker upstream support and weaker tradeable indicators heard. Prices were lower upstream. Benzene fell $7/mt, to $864.67/mt FBO Korea. Ammonia CFR Fareast Asia dropped $20/mt, to $430/mt for the week ending Nov. 14. Spot cargo demand outside China was lukewarm. Some market participants said that supply was "easily accessible." A buyer said that spot discussions were thin but that buying signals have decreased as the support from lower upstream prices has faded. Market participants reported a Yuan $50-150/mt price increase from the previous week.
