- MTBE factor drops 0.002 points- MTBE Prices in China are largely stable

Asian MTBE fell $12/mt to $869/mt, FOB
Singapore on May 9, due to a decline in upstream costs and a weaker gasoline
margin. On
May 9, the FOB Singapore gasoline cracks narrowed further. The RON 92 crack
fell 63 cents, to $6.95/barrel. This represents a drop of more than 8%. The losses for RON 95, RON 97 and RON 98 were between 4%-5%. The MTBE factor, which tracks lower gasoline margins was
down 0.002 points, on par with intraday levels. It is now 1.239. In China, prices were reported to be above $900/mt. The MTBE price in Shandong was about Yuan 7,500/mt or
$908.40/mt. In South China, it was Yuan 7,600/mt or around $920.50/mt.
