Gulf Coast benzene was stable March 17, as
sources reported that there was muted market activity. However, energy was
relatively quiet during the past week. NYMEX April RBOB fell 0.2cs to 250.15c/gal. April WTI
fell $1.61 /b>0.2 cents to $66.74/b. Downstream. At least two styrene
manufacturers are operating at reduced prices due to poor demand and low
production margins. According to Kpler shipping data and sources,
several imported benzene cargoes originating from Asia are expected to
reach the Gulf Coast by March 31, which could ease supply concerns in the
area.
