DOTP and DINP prices flatten out on the week / OQ Chemicals lifts the force majeure

The US spot prices for 2-ethylhexanol, and normal butanol remain unchanged in the week ending May 30. US exports of 2-ethylhexanol, and normal butanol were $1,215/mt, and $1,480/mt, FOB USG, on May 30. Both prices were flat for the week. The NBA and 2-EH domestic contracts were valued at 101.15c/lb and 110.1c/lb respectively delivered East Rockies base, both flat for the week. The domestic market tracked upstream polymer-grade levels of propylene during the period May 24-30. In Europe, the confidence in the supply levels on the market has increased since the German-based chemical company OQ announced it had lifted its force majeure declaraion for all products produced at its Oberhausen and Marl plants.
