Asia LPG prices increase as crude oil prices fall / H1 June differential jumps

The CFR North Asia LPG price rose on May 7 despite the slight decline in the July ICE Brent crude oil futures since the previous Asian closing, due to the continued high demand from China. The front-cycle CFR North Asia June-delivery H1 propane was $610.50/mt, up $15.50/mt in one day. The difference between H1 June-delivery and the June contract price rose to $61.50/mt on May 7 from $49/mt on May 6. CFR North Asia H2 H2 June delivery propane was valued at $610.50/mt, up $15.50/mt from the previous day. The premium for H2 H2 June delivery propane over the June contract price was also $61.50/mt. Five bids were seen on the physical market. Swiss Chem Gas offered 23,000 mt propane for June H1 delivery at the June FEI plus $6.50/mt....
