Benzene continues its fall / Domestic prices in China are declining WOW

Asian Phenol prices and Acetone prices have been assessed lower on a CFR China base week-over-week as upstream prices continue to fall, which has also led to lower prices on the Chinese domestic market. CFR China phenol prices were assessed lower by $5/mt and are now $935/mt. Domestic prices in East China fell about Yuan 175, or $883/mt based on import parity. The price of benzene has also been declining over the past week. It was last assessed at $842/mt, FOB Korea, on March 10. This is down from $857/mt in March 4. CFR China acetone, however, was down $10/mt ($750/mt) while East China's domestic prices were down Yuan 275/mt (Yuan 6,200/mt), or $707/mt based on import parity.
