Asian phenol moved slightly lower week over week Dec. 17 amid a minor drop in Chinese domestic prices, although demand cues in coming weeks are expected to remain firm. both CFR China and CFR Southeast Asia phenol down $5/mt week over week at $885/mt and $1,015/mt, respectively, Dec. 17. Prices in the domestic Chinese market appear little changed, one Chinese trader said, adding that the demand-supply balance in the Chinese domestic market looks fairly stable now, which in turn is helping prices maintain their recent levels.
