Sources claim that the FOB Singapore MTBE
prices dropped by $49/mt per day to $907/mt on May 31 as a result of a tepid
market amid low demand. TotalEnergies
and Vitol both offered to load a 2,000-mt cargo on July 6-10 at $908/mt. At the
market on close assessment, Total Energies' offer was $908-928/mt. Vitol, on
the other hand, offered $914/mt. The MOC
was not a trading event, and the FOB Singapore marker at $907/mt on May 31 was
assessed as being below both offers. A
