Prices of Acrylonitrile in the United States are on the rise

ACN prices in the US rose this week. A US industry source told a member of the Polymer Update team that "prices for US spot ACN rose last week due to supply constraints first seen in the Asian ACN markets in H2January." The higher upstream propylene prices also drove prices higher in this region. On Friday, FOB US Gulf ACN prices were assessed between USD 1365 and1375/mt, which is USD (20/mt) higher than last week. Thursday, the Polymer Grade Propylene Spot Delivered Prices were assessed at 45.00 -45.50 Cents/lb US Gulf, an increase of +2.50 cents/lb from last week. On the contract markets, the propylene contract price settled at 44.00 cents/lb for Polymer grade and 42.50 for Chemical grade for January 2025. These prices are a rise of 5.00 cents/lb...
