MTBE FOB Singapore in Asia fell $11.50/mt per day to $866/mt on May 23. The MTBE FOB Singapore Factor was stable at 1.136. MTBE prices in Asia were lower on May 23, following the trend of crude futures and 92 RON gas prices. Brent crude oil futures fell to $81.96/b in May 23 compared to $82.94/b the day before. On May 23, the 92 RON crack to Brent crude futures fell from $8.48/b to $8.26/b. On May 23, no FOB China offers or bids were heard. According to one source, the price of cargo in China was higher than Asian prices. Therefore there seemed no reason to offer cargo.
