US spot prices remain steady | 10,000 barrels trade on the week

- US spot prices remain steady- 10,000 barrels trade on the week



US Gulf Coast spot methanol stable on the
day and week amid a quiet market. Prices
have remained steady since June 13. Only
10,000 barrels have been heard traded this week with no indication of a pickup
in demand for spot material. Only 50,000
barrels have been heard traded this month. This was down from 100,000 barrels traded in May and 330,000
barrels in April. Just a few days ahead of
companies nominating contract prices for July, a source said the market
continues to be very quiet and that they expect contract prices for July to go
down. The European methanol market
remained lackluster June 23, with spot prices dropping Eur3.75 from June 22 and
