US Gulf Coast spot Ethylene increased in
price on May 22, despite lower feedstocks. Based on the trades at this level, May Mont Belvieu ethylene
was priced at 17.5 cents/lb FD Mont Belvieu on May 22. This is 0.25 cent/lb
higher than what it was on May 21. To
maintain the market structure, forward-month June Mont Belvieu spot was also
assessed at 0.25 cent/lb. Choctaw front
and forward-month ethylene prices were flat for the day. The upstream ethane price has dipped further since its
seven-week peak on May 18. Feedstock
prices fell for a second day in a row on May 22, falling 1 cent or 4.65% to
