South Asia ACN prices drop due to low demand / CFR FE Asia market softens / Prices drop in Southeast Asia

South Asian acrylonitrile markets fell in the week ending March 4, due to waning Indian demand and weakness on adjacent markets. Sources said that discussion levels have dropped as buyers are taking a wait-and watch stance, and sellers are offering lower rates to maintain their interest. ACN suppliers have also expressed a sluggish market and are sharing lower price ideas each week. ACN inventories at the Kandla Port were estimated to be 6,400 mt on Feb. 28. A supplier from abroad said that buyers are anticipating to purchase ACN at a price of $1,250-$1,300/mt and cargoes could be sold for lower prices in the future.
