The Asian acrylonitrile-butadiene-styrene CFR China and CFR Southeast Asia markers at $1,445/mt and $1,465/mt, both unchanged on the week July 31. The market was quiet this week, and offers were reported to be stable or lower. In general, feedstocks prices have been seen to fluctuate in the past week. CFR China styrene Monomer and FOB Korean markers were $1,145.50/mt & $1,130.50/mt respectively on July 31, up $30/mt compared to the previous week. Despite an increase in upstream SM prices, producers attributed this to a persistently low market. It is hard to find opportunities for export because freight rates are high.
