acrylonitrile-butadiene-styrene was assessed higher at $1,380/mt CFR China in
the week to March 8. The CFR Southeast Asia marker was stable week-on-week
at $1,400/mt. The domestic China prices increased by 1% compared to the
previous week. They were at Yuan 11,300/mt. Margin pressure from feedstock
cost continued to ease in the week of March 8. Styrene monomer dropped
$24/mt on week to $1.086/mt CFR China February 8. Acrylonitrile dropped
$20/mt week to $1,545/mt Far East Asia, the last assessment March
7. Butadiene is now at $1,200/mt. CFR China (down $20/mt) Week
1. However, even with the cost reductions, margins remain negative. A
Chinese producer said that "Demand continues to feel lukewarm". He
added: "Our offer price changed a little...
