Asian PS prices rise amid quiet discussions / Domestic prices in China are higher / Market participants cite increased upstream costs and lukewarm Demand - Feb 13, 2025

On February 12, general-purpose polystyrene CFR China was $1,200/mt. This is up $5/mt since Feb. 5. The market continued to watch from the sidelines. The CFR China-CFR Southeast Asia Spread was unchanged at minus $10/mt. East China's expanded PS and high impact PS prices rose. EPS GP was Yuan 10,050-10250/mt, and HIPS was Yuan 10900-11100/mt. GPPS prices were unchanged at Yuan 9,150-9.250/mt. The EP market increased by Yuan 150 to 300/mt. Jiangsu factory prices at Yuan 10,000-10,250/mt. Market activity and spot liquidity was low. HIPS CFR China was up $5/mt since Feb. 5, at $1,305/mt by Feb. 12. The CFR China to CFR SE Asia Spread remained at minus $10/mt. The EPS general grade increased by $5/mt from the previous week to $1,230/mt at FOB Northeast Asia on February 12....
