Asian MTBE rises amid Brent and RON crack | Market thin this week | Market participants are cautious and on the alert

Asian MTBE rises amid Brent and RON crack- Market thin this week- Market participants are cautious and on the alertMTBE in Asia is up $11/mt from day to day,
at $950/mt for FOB Singapore on May 19. This follows the increase in ICE Brent
futures and the 92 RON Brent crack. The
July ICE Brent price was up $1.62/b from the previous week to $76.14/b, May 19.
Meanwhile, the RON Crack widened by $3.31/b during the same time period at
$12.39/b. A trader reported that the MTBE
market was thin this week, due to a closed arbitrage window between China and
the Straits. Limited trading activity in the region has also been heard. A Southeast Asian source revealed that a trade had been done
at the June Mean of Singapore FOB Singapore fixed...
