The price of Asian benzene increased $8/mt
per day to $936.00/mt FOB Korea on April 28. The average laycans for
the fourth, fifth, and third half months -- H2 May and H1 and H2 June,
respectively -- were used to calculate the marker. The Market on Close assessment on April 28 was not
transparent. Each June laycan was assessed
at $932/mt. This is above the last bid of $931/mt. The H2 laycan for May was valued at $944/mt. This is based
on the physical spread of plus $12/mt between H2 May/June. In order to reflect intraday changes in the FOB Korea and
East China domestic markets, the CFR China marker has been assessed at $942/mt. The June laycans are assessed at $942/mt CFR China. The H2 may laycans were also assessed...
