As the market was quiet, Asian Ethylene
prices remained steady at $940/mt CFR Northeast Asia on April 10 and $960/mt
CON Southeast Asia on April 10. Market
participants remain insecure due to volatile naphtha market prices, and weak
margins in the downstream market. There is uncertainty and a lot of
unease in the market right now. A buyer from Northeast Asia stated
that upstream prices are volatile while downstream unhealthy margins have
remained the same. "We'll wait to see how things turn out." Due to market
participants being present at the Chinese Qingming Festival, and Good Friday
during the week ending April 6, there was little discussion. The
