Asian ethylene price remained constant day after day at $940-960/mt CIF NE
Asia. It was $960-980/mt CIF SE Asia on April 17. Prices on the Chinese domestic market were reported at Yuan 7,400-7,480/mt. The market participants were uncertain due to the volatile naphtha
upstream prices and weak margins downstream. The market has been quiet recently, with many participants unsure what to
do because of macroeconomic factors like volatile naphtha and unhealthy margins
on downstream markets. A producer from northeast Asia also said that an increase in supply in
