Styrene was slightly higher on the European
market the day of June 15. Trading liquidity for loading dates in July has been
heard. On June 15, the five-to-30 day
forward loading laycan increased by $3.50/mt to $964.75/mt. Two trades
at $975/mt were heard for cargoes loading in July. Interest in
June was low, with only a $60 difference between offers and bids. The
polystyrene downstream market was under downward pressure in June due to
falling feedstock costs, low demand, and competitive imports. In the ABS
market where import routes that are cheaper than polystyrene have been more
