US Gulf Coast spot Methanol was steady in a
quiet market on June 16. For
the sixth trading session in a row, there were no trades or bids. Only one
offer at 75 cents/gal was made on June 16. This month, only 40,000 barrels were traded. There are no
signs of an increase in the demand for spot materials. The number of barrels traded in May was 100,000, and in
April 330,000. A source stated, "I
believe we will be in this pattern throughout the summer." US methanol fell 2.7% in the past week. Any further drop
