US Gulf spot Methanol was priced 3 cents
less on May 22, amid falling offers. No bids or transactions were heard for the spot methanol on
May 22. Offers fell from 88 to 82 cents/gal. Price for methanol has dropped to its lowest level since
April 14. The market is well-supplied as US production plants are operating
smoothly. A source says that upstream
maintenance is still causing gas restrictions in Trinidad and Tobago. The source explained that the gas constraint is shared by
the companies. Each company takes turns to reduce its volumes. According to the Trinidad and Tobago Ministry of Energy and
Energy Industries in 2022, 5,49 million mt of Methanol were produced on the
