The European recycled LDPE markets weakened
during the week ending April 19. Prices for translucent pellets, feedstock
bales and other products were reduced. R-LDPE transparent pellets were priced at Eur1,320/mt DDP
North West Europe on April 14, a drop of Eur20/mt from the previous week. According to recyclers, the grades saw a round price
reductions this week. In the month before,
we stored our products in warehouses. You can store some but not much. "We need to lower the price to sell," said a
recycler. A second recycler said the
market has seen a dramatic drop in demand since April began, and that there
have been no improvements. Prices on the
