As buying interest was heard, Asian benzene price rose by $8/mt to $1055/mt for FOB Korea on April 30. The upstream markets closed the session with a slight decline, as the front-month ICE Brent futures contract fell 31 cents/b at the Asian close of $88.56/b and the naphtha market C+F Japan at $712.75/mt was down $2.125/mt from the previous session. The morning and afternoon trading session in the FOB Korea Physical Market were relatively quiet, with the focus on the paper markets. During the Market On Close, activity picked up, and discussions centered around June-loading containers. GS Caltex, TotalEnergies and SKGC also reached a deal for a 3,000 mt June cargo at $1,052/mt.
