Sources reported that Asian monoethylene
prices were unchanged on June 7 due to a lack of trade. The most actively traded
MEG futures for September on the Dalian Commodity Exchange increased Yuan 21/mt
from day to day, reaching Yuan 4,058/mt at ex-tank on June 7. The traders stated that although Asia-to South America
arbitrage was possible, it was difficult due to a weak outlook for global
demand and the lack of motivation in an uncertain economic climate. They added that lower freight rates boosted Southeast Asia's
