- Domestic plasticizer markets remain unchanged for week- PGP spot pricing reduced

The US domestic and export oxo-alcohol,
plasticizer and plasticizer markets were quiet on the weeks to March 30,
as propylene feedstock prices fell. domestic and export price indications
for normal butanol and 2-ethylhexanol were not heard during the March 24-30
period. The 2-EH, NBA and domestic
oxo-alcohol markets were quiet during Q1, with low demand meeting balanced
supply. OQ Chemicals will raise NBA prices by 12c/lb starting April 15, or
until contracts allow. The company has communicated a fourth price hike
on NBA for 2023. This comes amid volatile spot propylene prices due to
outages at propane dehydrogenation units. Polymer grade propylene pricing
