Asian isomer-grade mixedxylene rose $9/mt
on April 6 at $1.023/mt FOB Korea. It was $1,045/mt CRU Unv1 but it was up
$7/mt on April 10, at $1.006/mt CRU China. This was due to slightly higher
upstream prices and bullishness about gasoline demand. At 0830 GMT in Asian trading, June ICE Brent
crude oil futures climbed 14 cents to $85.04/barrel. A market
participant stated that gasoline blending demand has increased. Due to
falling India gasoline exports, and rising Indonesian gasoline demand before
Eid al-Fitr celebrations, the Asian gasoline complex was expected strengthen
between April 10-14. In July 2022, the Indian government announced
that it would place restrictions on gasoline exports through March 31, 2023.
This will require refiners to divert 50% of their gasoline exports...
