Floating Price Offers Seen in the Market / China buyers prefer to purchase CFR China cargoes

On June 5, Asian isomer MX was up $1/mt on the day to $923/mt from FOB Korea. It was also down $4/mt on the day to $944/mt from CFR China. On June 5, Brent crude futures for August were up $0.42/b compared to the previous day, while C&F Japan Naphtha was down $0.25/mt. The benchmark PX CFR unv1/China marker, which is used downstream, was unchanged from day to day at $1 029.33/mt. A floating price was offered in the Asian trading hours. However, a source confirmed that no deals were made as a result. The offer was made at $0/mt above the average July price.
