report that the FOB Singapore MTBE was $956/mt, up $11.42/mt from last week.
This is due to stable gasoline demand across Southeast Asia. Trafigura
sold 2,000 mt of MTBE to Aramco for $966/mt during the Market on Close process
on June 23. The MTBE was to be loaded July 8-12, at the close. Aramco
stopped bidding after the transaction during MOC. Vitol, meanwhile,
offered $947/mt on 3,000 mt of cargo to be loaded July 29-August 2, but there
was no other trade at the close. The FOB Singapore marker, assessed on
June 23, was set at $956/mt. This price is between the current trade of $966/mt
