be tight in May. This would have pushed up the price. The market is still bearish, CFR China fell $10-15/mt
during the week that began April 9, and spot supplies from Southeast Asia are
also available. The arbitrage window between Europe and Asia is
closed. The company plans to begin production of its 150,000 mt/year Butadiene
Plant around April 18. The source also stated that the company aims to reach
on-spec by April 21.
