Market sources reported that the Asian naphtha markets saw an increase in activity on Sept. 26, with a flurry tenders including two new tenders to buy and two completed tenders. Lower cash premiums prompted purchases. A source in the industry said, "Everyone wants to buy right now because it's cheap." Taiwan's CPC has been heard to be seeking 105,000 mt naphtha - comprising of light, full range and heavy naphtha - for delivery between Oct. 16 and Nov. 30, via a Sept. 26 tender with next-day valid. YNCC of South Korea issued a tender to buy two 25,000 mt cargos for November H1 and delivery H2. The tender will close on Sept. 26 with same-day valid.
