MTBE in Asia is down by
$11.77/mt from the previous day to $998.85/mt, FOB Singapore on April 18 due to
a weakening market and a decline in crude. The June ICE Brent crude
futures contract, which closed at $84.6/b in the Asian session at 4:30 pm
Singapore time was down $1.4/b. Total sold
3,000 mt MTBE to Trafigura at $1,009-1,049/mt during the Market on Close
process of April 18. Trafigura didn't bid
for the same Laycan at the MOC following this trade. A Chinese trader reported that the Chinese domestic market
activity in April was slowed down by limited trades heard on the 18th of April
amid Brent price fluctuations and as domestic demand dried. Singapore market...
