On April 23, the NYMEX RBOB price, which is the basis for MTBE pricing, rose by 1.45% or 4.07 cents/gal. Market participants withdrew from the market as there were no offers, bids, or trades during the Market on Close assessment. MTBE differentials were assessed at 2.50 cents/gal more on the day, as the assessment rolled over from the NYMEX may RBOB contract to the June RBOB Futures contract. In Europe, FOB ARA MTBE Spot Prices fell by $36.25/mt during the day. This was due to lower offer levels that were seen in the session. Middle East cargoes have been heard arriving in Europe.
