Asian butadiene remained stable from 26 May
amid quiet trading on Monday. Market
sentiment was considered to be bearish, in line with the falling prices of
global butadiene. The CIF USG price of
butadiene fell 9 cents/lb from week to week, or $771.40/mt. FOB Rotterdam's butadiene fell $20/mt in a week to $550/mt
on May 26. According to sources, Sinopec
China slashed their local list price from Yuan 7,000/mt (or $860/mt based on
import parity) to Yuan 6,700/mt (or $550/mt). Butadiene spot price dropped Yuan 100/mt between May 26 and
May 29 to Yuan 6,700/mt, or $823/mt based on import parity. This was the lowest price since Dec. 8, 2020, when it was
Yuan 6,600/mt. Market sources say that
