The Asian monoethylene glycol prices were
stable on May 30 due to a lack of trade. The July ICE Brent Crude Oil Futures Contract was down
$1.29/b for the day, at $76.07/b as of 4:30 pm Singapore time (830 GMT), May
30. Traders said that market confidence
was weakened due to macroeconomic uncertainty, and the sluggish price of crude
oil. Stocks were high despite the fact
that many producers reduced production. Sellers
reported that there were very few contracts signed on the market in this year and
formula pricing was seldom used as the market is experiencing a downward trend
amid abundant supplies. The buyers said
that they were able to get a better deal by negotiating and didn't see the
point in signing...
