US Gulf Coast methanol was stable on 10 May, with offers steady since May 9, and a market structure that was in 1-cent contango between months. The repeatable and most competitive May offer came in at 95 cents/gal for 10,000 bbl/month, which was above the inter-month bid of 90 cents/gal for May and June. The June bid/offers ranged from 91-96cents/gal FOB ITC. The inter-month structure was in a 1-cent contagious due to the last trade that was heard after the Market on Close process on May 8 across the acetyls supply chain, stated Celanese CEO Lori Ryerkerk on her company's earnings call on May 9.
