Asian ethylene was stable to $15-20/mt
higher June 26 compared to June 23 after public holidays in China and Unv1. The CFR Northeast Asia ethylene price rose
$15/mt to $730/mt, the first increase in two months, while CFR Southeast Asia
price was stable at $730/mt. Some market sources said spot
ethylene supplies may become tighter for August delivery business compared to
July as some downstream plant operations may increase in the region. But it is
unclear if the downstream plant runs would increase as some ethylene
derivatives market remained bearish. Asian
polyethylene price fell $40/mt from June 23 to $890/mt June 26. Asian
PE-ethylene spread was calculated at $160/mt June 26, higher than a breakeven
spread of $150/mt...
