Asian toluene was mostly stable or slightly higher on May 7. Toluene was impacted by the rangebound trading of crude oil futures and the sideways buy-sell levels for downstream benzene. Sources said that no spot offers or bids were heard for South Korea origin cargoes. Trading sources reported that offers for China-origin shipments of 3,000-6,000mt were made at $950/mt on a FOB China basis, or FOB Korea plus $30/mt for the 2,000mt arrivals in Southeast Asia for June. No trades or buying indications have been reported. Sources said that prompt 99.9%/H2 may 99.5% ex-tank supplies were heard on the domestic market at flat.
