On June 8, the Asian butadiene markets
weakened, with the CFR China butadiene price down by $40/mt per day to $700/mt
due to rising supplies. According
to S$P Global Commodity Insights, the CFR China butadiene was at its lowest
price since Jan. 12, 2020. Spot supplies
from Southeast Asia and elsewhere have continued to flow towards Northeast
Asia. The price of a prompt cargo from
Southeast Asia has been reported to be between $640 and $660/mt, CFR China.
Meanwhile, some deep-sea cargoes are available for delivery in August. A cargo from the Middle East was likely to go to Asia due to
