On June 13, the Asian butadiene price
dropped due to bearish market signals resulting from an abundance of supply. CFR China Butadiene Price
down $20/mt on a daily basis to $660/mt, the lowest price since January 11,
2022 when it was $620/mt. The local China
butadiene prices also fell Yuan 200/mt per day, to Yuan 5,700/mt on June 13.
This is the lowest price since January 10, 2022 when it was Yuan 4,700/mt. Spot supplies were heavy. Sources also said that regional
cargoes would increase in the third quarter, as steam cracker turnaround is
