Ceypetco wants to combine gasoline and naphtha for delivery in July / Indonesian naphtha exports increase 18.6% in March

The market participants in Asia's Naphtha Market remained pessimistic about the short-term prospects due to poor demand for downstream petrochemicals. Brokers pinned the June-July Mean Japan naphtha Swap Time Spread at $8.75/mt in mid-morning Asian trading on May 21. This was down 50 cents/mt compared to the previous close. Olefin spreads continued to fall, as the CFR Northeast Asia Ethylene price spread to C+F Japan Naphtha was 169.25/mt at the close of Asian trade on May 20. This narrowed by $8.75/mt in one day. This was well below the usual breakeven spreads of $250/mt or $300-$350/mt, for integrated producers. Ceypetco, Sri Lanka, requested a combined gasoline and naphtha shipment for delivery on July 5-6 via an open tender that closed on June 4 with a three-day validity. Data from Statistics...
