"wait and see"On April 27, Asian caprolactam was down
$20/mt from the previous week to $1,650/mt FAR East Asia. The Asian caprolactam industry was quiet due to
the uncertain nylon demand despite low feedstock prices. A trade
signal was heard at 1,650/mt. A buying indication was heard around $1,620/mt.
Others preferred to keep prices at the previous week's $1,670/mt level. Both
benzene and ammonia experienced price corrections. FOB Korea,
benzene dropped below $950/mt, down more than $30/mt in a week. Ammonia also
appeared to be weaker, according to a source. Some market
participants, however, held on to their discussions for the month of May,
