The Asian caprolactam price was stable for the week ending June 27. This is because the tight supply in the region was balanced by the weak demand as the markets entered the traditional slow season. Upstream, benzene prices rose slightly, with a gain of $17.33/mt, after falling by $46/mt the previous week. The price now stands at $1,019.33/mt, FOB Korea. Most participants are on the sidelines as the traditional lull in demand season starts. Buying and selling ideas are far apart.
