Asian Caprolactam: Stable despite thin price discussion / China's domestic market experiences a price recovery / CPDC Dec Contract Price Not Announced

The price of Asian caprolactam was stable during the week ending November 28 despite the muted discussion heard throughout the week. CFR Far East Asia's Asian Caprolactam was $1,510/mt on Nov. 28, a stable price week-on-week. The FOB Korea price of benzene fell to $820/mt, a drop of $21/mt from the previous week. East China's domestic prices of the molten grade were around Yuan 11,100-11,200/mt, 200-300 Yuan higher than the previous week. A market source said that sales volumes in China were "favorable" due to the continued expansion of downstream industries. This helped support prices up and down the value chain.
