Asian Butadiene: Sinks $20-$55/mt amid rising supplies / CFR China hits a 4-month low / Spot demand is low amid weaker rubber prices

The price of Asian butadiene dropped $20-$55/mt on the 25th, due to a rise in supplies. Asian butadiene prices dropped $60-$75/mt from a week ago. CFR China butadiene prices fell $55/mt per day, to $1,465/mt on October 25, the lowest price since June, when it was $1,450/mt CFR China. The data revealed that FOB Korea butadiene prices fell $20/mt in the same time period to $1450/mt. As supplies are available worldwide, the market sentiment remains weaker. According to the latest data, FOB Southeast Asian was traded at just under $1400/mt. It was also reported that some deepsea freights had been fixed for Asia in late January at a price between $1,490-$1,530/mt CIF China.
