business. Asian
butadiene saw a price drop of $20-50/mt from a week prior. CFR China butadiene prices fell $30/mt on March 31 to
$1,100/mt. This is the lowest level since February 2, when they were at
$1,020/mt. Market sentiment was bearish
for April business. This was due to weak spot demand for downstream products,
particularly synthetic rubber. Given the
negative outlook for the downstream market, end-users were reluctant build
butadiene inventories. Spot cargos were
traded at $1,010/mt CFR China in April. Downstream
styrene-butadiene-rubber price fell $30/mt week on week to $1,600/mt March 31. Spot cargoes...
