sentiment in the Asian butadiene markets was mixed. There wasn't a clear
direction. Asia butadiene was steady day to day at $1.200/mt CFR China and
$1.180/mt FOB Korea. CFR Taiwan price dropped $35/mt to $1,165/mt March,
compared to the previous week. 10. The March fall in CFR China's
price is evident in the Asian butadiene markets. Spot price in China
started to rebound in the week of 3/6, rising Yuan 600/mt weekly. This is due
to falling inventories and Yuan 9,500/mt March 10. However, the CFR-based
spot butadiene market was very limited. While Asia's naphthafed
steam-crackers are seeing an increase in operations, downstream rubber market
sentiment is bearish. LG Chem in South Korea is increasing steam cracker
