Asian Butadiene: Rises $20/mt amid firmer rubber futures / CFR China hits a one-month high / Titan Malaysia issues a tender

The Asian butadiene prices rose $20/mt per day, reaching a new one-month record of $1150/mt on Dec. 11. This was boosted by the firmer downstream rubber contracts in China. According to the Shanghai Futures Exchange (SHFE), China's rubber prices continued to rise Dec. 11. The February polybutadiene futures rose Yuan 155/mt from day to day, to Yuan 13,810/mt on Dec. 11. Trading sources reported that a deep-sea cargo had been discussed at $1,200/mt for delivery in late February. Trading sources reported that the latest FOB Southeast Asian tender basis was traded between $1,110 and $1120/mt. This can be calculated as high-$1,200s/mt on CFR China basis.
