The Asian naphtha market eased on June 8,
as the spot supply of India remained steady following the issue of a sale
tender. The
derivatives market reflected a weak sentiment during the mid-afternoon trading
session as brokers set the front-month swap spread for Japan naphtha
July-August at minus 1,50/mt. This was after the market structure had been at
parity on the Asian close of June 7. "Downstream
will likely be weak for the remainder of the year." "We might see a slight improvement next year, but if
